In the baby pool Amber picked today, February 27th at 7:30 p.m.
Well, Landon Scott Castleberry was born today, February 27th at 7:13 p.m.
It looks like mothers really do know best.
Hello friends and family - this is Ashley posting on Amber's behalf. I am happy to report that Landon and Amber are doing great!! I just got off the phone with her (it's 8:30) and she was already nursing him. Landon weighed in at 5 lb. 11 oz. and was 19 inches long. (Winner of the baby pool TBD). Amber says he looks just like Scott!
They welcome visitors, however they are waiting for a room to become available so you can call Amber's cell to schedule a time to come and see the newest Castleberry family member. (Please do call beforehand).
And for all of you that are interested in a few more of the 'gory' details (however if you know anything about Amber and her giving birth to Ella Beth you know that she is a pro at labor and delivery):
She was having some extreme pains this morning so she called the doctor and they told her to come in. She got to the doctor's office about 10 a.m. They told her to go to the hospital, however she chose not to? (She'll have to explain her reasoning herself). She called a family friend who is a nurse at Northside and she told her to come in they had a room waiting for her. So she and Scott dropped Ella Beth off at Scott's parents house and headed to the hospital. She was admitted about 12. She called me around 2:00 and said that she had received her IV and that they were waiting for her to complete one bag of fluid and then they would break her water (if needed) and receive her epidural. Around 6:30 she was at 6 cm. At 6:55 she was at 10 cm. She pushed for just about 5 minutes and at 7:13 her son was born! (Don't you wish we all had a story like this...WOW! You go girlfriend!!)
