Beach Vacation - it's picture time!!

Look! Mama was there!! Mama was on vacation. And she had a blast!!



 

This was Peanut's first time experiencing the ocean. He wasn't so sure about the water temperature or the waves at first.







But he warmed up pretty quickly. :) And this was just day 1.

 







 

What made the trip the most special for me is that Buddy-Ro was not afraid of the ocean at all. No sign of jelly-fish; beautiful, clear water; his Mama felt comfortable enough to swim thanks to said beautiful, clear water. This year he was ALL ABOUT being in the water!!



 









Love how these two can truly enjoy one another most of the time.





Mama is in SO many pictures this year!! I couldn't believe it when I was going through my pictures. This may be the first vacation that I can actually prove that I was there. And I played just as hard as the kiddos. See, Mama can be fun!! ;)

Every day Peanut would take his nap on the beach. We may or may not have fought over who got to snuggle and catch a nap, too. :)

This picture makes me smile. It looks like they were praying, but really they were just watching fish. :)



Scott was ready to come home after our 8 days of restful beach bliss. But is it any wonder after seeing these pictures why Mama was NOT ready?!!? Take me back soon!

Memorial Day Weekend

As always, we started our summer off on Memorial Day weekend at the lake. (Although this may be the last year we do so since my mama is putting her house on the market and trying to move closer to us. Bittersweet.)



We had good friends come up to the lake with us and enjoy fun in the sun. The favorite things for the kiddos to do are Fishin' and Tubin'. And believe me, we did plenty of both! While we waited for our friends to join us, the kiddos practiced their fishin' skills. And they were quite successful.





Daddy was kept busy baiting hooks, because Mama doesn't do that!





Birdie wasn't too sure about holding her catch, so Buddy-Ro volunteered.



But as they caught more and more...







...she warmed up to showing off her fish.





Buddy-Ro caught the biggest catch. This fish put up a fight, but Buddy-Ro reeled him in all by himself!





And, of course, Daddy wanted his picture taken with this prize catch. :) Love the pride in their faces!

And then it was time for tube rides!



The baby boy was so content to sit in his stroller and take it all in! This is right before he fell asleep in his stroller amidst the lake fun. Blessed by such an easy fella. :)



I forgot my camera up at the house on Monday and never had a chance to run up and get it. So I captured the day with my phone. Boat rides and naps just seem to go together perfectly. :) The Peanut fell asleep on the dock again, so we just wheeled him onto the boat and kept his life jacket close.

Ahhhh, lake life. It's a LOT of work, but it's great fun. We all came home with nice tans to start the summer and with fun memories to remember!
