Books We Are Reading

I always love new books, so when anyone recommends one I tend to jump and get it. I thought I would share books that I love/recommend (as a woman, as a wife, as a mother, and ones we love as a family).

For Me:
One Thousand Gifts, by Ann Voskamp

Radical, by David Platt - This book changed my life, my heart, and has helped me find contentment

Bringing Up Girls, by James Dobson

Bringing Up Boys, by James Dobson

Redeeming Love, by Francine Rivers

Tender Mercy for a Mother's Soul, by Angela Thomas Guffey - This is one of my all time favorite books as a mother.

Mommy's Locked in the Bathroom: Surviving Your Child's Early Years with Your Sanity and Salvation in Tact! by Cynthia Sumner - I l-o-v-e this book!

Choosing to See, by MaryBeth Chapman

Jesus Calling, by Sarah Young

Karen Kingsbury is my favorite Christian author. I started with, and love, the Redemption Series, which continues on in the Firstborn Series, the Sunrise Series, the Take One Series, and the Bailey Flanigan Series.

For the Kiddos:
The Jesus Storybook Bible: Every Story Whispers His Name, by Sally Lloyd-Jones

The Beginners Bible, Zonderkids - This is the book we are using for school; Ella Beth reads it out loud each day

The Giving Tree, by Shel Silverstein

The Big Red Tractor, by Francis Chan
